HALF-DAY WORKSHOPS

Our workshops can be tailor-made to the client’s business objectives and gives people the opportunity to find out what mindfulness is (and isn’t), as well as the ‘whys’ and the ‘hows’ of practicing mindfulness.

In addition to learning about the science underpinning why mindfulness works, participants get to experience mindfulness practices for themselves, thereby realising the value for peak workplace performance.

The workshop is designed with reference to any ongoing culture change, leadership or L&D training that participants are currently undergoing, so that it feels immediately relevant and applicable to them.

We usually recommend a minimum 2 ½ hour workshop, or a series of shorter workshops over a full day for a larger audience

THE EXPERIENCE

The Mindfulness workshop experience involves teaching and discussion of mindfulness concepts, experiential learning through formal guided mindfulness meditation, informal mindfulness practices, and self-reflection so participants will be equipped with both an intellectual understanding and experiential knowing of mindfulness.

Generally the topics covered include:

• An overview of mindfulness and the science behind it

• Thoughts and you as the Observer

• The mindful pause: Responding vs Reacting

• Embodiment: Thinking vs Sensing

• Stress management, anxiety and emotional regulation

• Taking values based action

• Compassion and kindness

• Gratitude and appreciation

• Radical self-acceptance and personal responsibility

• Maintaining and integrating your mindfulness practice

 

These topics are reinforced with experiential mindfulness exercises to integrate the teachings.

Suzanne brings years of experience with her personal Meditation and mindfulness practice, and in facilitating and designing workshops in government and corporate settings.

Working as a Senior Strategic Planner for the last 10 years, Suzanne has extensive experience working within the public and private sectors, and with community organisations across a range of industries both locally and internationally leading innovation and cultural change.

I love the meditations, they’re so grounding and really bring me back into the moment to calm and centre myself.
